Though there are no exact figures for the ecotourism segment， a government-sponsored push for rural tourism —— usually involving staying with farmers —— has become popular in China in recent years.

    雖然生態(tài)旅游方面還沒有確切的統(tǒng)計數(shù)據(jù)，不過近年來由政府資助推出的鄉(xiāng)村旅游項目（通常被稱為“農家樂”）卻已在中國廣受歡迎。

    上面的報道中，ecotourism就是近幾年經(jīng)常被提及的一種旅游形式“生態(tài)旅游”，其實就是ecological和tourism兩個詞結合而成的，類似的用法還有eco city（生態(tài)城市），eco-farming（生態(tài)農業(yè)）等。另外，這里還提到了rural tourism “鄉(xiāng)村旅游”，算是ecotourism的一個初步形式吧。其他常見的旅游形式還有：package tour（背包游），DIY tour（自助游），group/organized tour（團體游），medical tour（醫(yī)療旅游）等。
